After 5 happy years in the amphoe Khong Chai in the south of the Province of Kalasin - the heart of Isaan - we decided to quit our 5 Rai (8000m2) paradise in the middle of the rice fields to move a little bit more to the north of Kalasin near some of our friends.

Starting loving Thailand and Switzerland

Just a small résumé and some informations for the people we know already or others who want to visit this beautiful country, and may be want to come visit us. Sorry for my English, i speak german same french, but lost my english in the 13 years i'm together with my thai wife ;-)….

Since my father invited me and my brother the first time to come to Thailand in 2001 (it was the last flight with Swissair before the Grounding), I've been there every year many times. Onuma an me met us the first time on Ko Samui / Lamai in September 2011. My Primary school friend Peter who was living in Lamai for years brought us together. I was a Swiss Holiday man and she a well known Chief cook in Lamai, we met, fall in love and are still together.

Hmmm sounds very romantic. At the end it is yes, but it was a very long way to get where we are now. To combine the tradional Thai mentality and the tradional Swiss mentality was not an easy business. But we dit it!

Finally we married in Switzerland on March 8th 2019 and we are still very happy together.

We started with a tradional Thai kitchen restaurant in Lamai in Mai 2015, absolutely not designed for falang. We wanted an original kitchen for all the people in our quarter. It was a big succes and we had a very nice neighborhood all over the years.

In 2019 we moved to the South Province of Kalasin and had 5 beautiful years here. Now its time to change. I had the opporunity to build a new house near the Lam Pao lake on the land from a swiss friend with thai passport.

So thats why we sell our property.
